When does the daily puzzle reset?
A brand new puzzle becomes available every day at midnight in your local time zone, so there's always a fresh challenge waiting for you.
Why isn't my guess being accepted?
Every step has one specific target word that matches the clue. Even if you submit a valid dictionary word, it will only be accepted if it's the exact word we're looking for!
How many letters can I change at once?
Normally, you can only change exactly one letter from the previous word to form the next word. The only exception is during a "Hurdle," where the rules might bend.
What makes a "Hurdle" different?
Hurdles are designed to be trickier. During a Hurdle, you might need to change two letters instead of one, the length of the word might change, or the clue itself might be a riddle.
Is there a limit to how many guesses I can make?
No! Take as many guesses as you need. There is no penalty for guessing incorrectly (the tiles will just shake), but your total completion time is tracked on your results screen.
What does Hard Mode do?
Hard Mode is for players who want an extra challenge. Turning it on simply prevents you from using hints during the game. It does not affect your overall stats or scoring.
